Lenses

"Are your lenses also made of coffee?"
We get this a lot. The answer is no.

The frames are our craft. The lenses are world-class optics.
Every Ochis lens comes from ZEISS or Essilor — certified, tested, built for daily wear.

Four options. One simple flow.

Pick a frame → click Add Lenses → choose your type → add prescription if needed.

Any option below can be made with or without prescription, with or without astigmatism.

Sunglasses

All sunglasses lenses are UV-protective.

Polarised lenses are available in two tones: Quiet (Grey) and Warm (Brown).

Polarisation helps reduce glare from water, snow, and road surfaces — for a clearer, calmer view.

FAQ

Are your lenses made from coffee?

Only the frames. The lenses are ZEISS and Essilor optics.

Standard photochromic vs PhotoFusion X — what's worth it?

Speed. Standard takes up to a minute to darken, up to 15 minutes to clear. PhotoFusion X reacts in under 25 seconds and clears in 1–2 minutes. If you move between light environments often, upgrade.

What's PD and why do you need it?

Pupillary distance — the gap between your pupils. We use it to centre the lens correctly. Without it, even a perfect prescription causes strain. Any optometrist will include it on request.

Can I install your lenses at my local optician?

You can, but we recommend letting us do it. The frames are made from our own bio-composite and need controlled heating during installation. Instructions are included with every parcel.

Slight violet, green or turquoise tint on the lenses — is that normal?

Yes. It's a sign of premium multi-layered coatings — AR (violet), high-index (green), PhotoFusion X (turquoise). Not a defect.

My prescription changes in a year — can I just replace the lenses?

Yes. Send the frames back, we install new lenses. You pay for lenses + return shipping. The frame stays yours.
