Frames
Are the eyewear frames heavier because of the material?
No. Thanks to our unique production technology, Ochis aren’t heavy. They feel lighter than your regular plastic glasses, so you won’t get tired of wearing them all day long!
Ochis are water-resistant due to a special hydrophobic layer. Don't be afraid to get them wet – you can even swim with your Ochis on. Still, try not to leave them in the water for too long!
We insert a metal core in each temple using a unique technology that helps connect the charniers with the reinforced temple rods to make the hinges extremely durable. That system allows Ochis to be adjusted to your face shape.
Your coffee glasses will not break unless you apply excessive force. Like any eyewear, Ochis require careful use, need to be stored in a case and put on using both hands.
Ochis have quite an average sizing, suitable to most face shapes. Because all our designs are different, we have added the measurements of each model to their description, so you can understand their size better. Here are more details on each of the parameters:
Frame width is the length from the furthest left point to the furthest right point of the front of the frames. It’s the length of glasses if you’re looking at them from the front.
Temple length (a.k.a. arm length) is the length from the furthest left point to the furthest right point of the temple not accounting for the bend. It doesn’t include the width of the front of the frame if you’re looking at the glasses from the side.
Distance between lenses is also known as the bridge width. It measures the straight line between the closest positioning of lenses, including the width of the bridge of your nose as well as the width of the material.

Are the glasses waterproof? Will they break down in the water?
